ANNULATION du 29e Congrès EAHM-AEDH-EVKM
EAHM-EGVE common statement
It is with sincere regret that we inform colleagues and stakeholders that due to the on-going effects of the COVID pandemic and following two postponements, we have been forced to cancel the 29th Congress of the EAHM. Unfortunately, we are not currently in a position to set a new date, in view of the potential new and anticipated waves of infection caused by covid mutations, however we will provide a further update in the coming weeks.
Our decision was largely determined by the fact that both the host and participating countries are restricting the participation of healthcare workers in international events due to the current high rate of infection across Europe. We fully support this decision , as it has become evident over the past two years that all healthcare workers are now of paramount importance in the protection of patients and in the provision of thier care. The protection and safety of both patients and healthcare workers is also a significant priority for us.
We wish to extend special thanks to our Hungarian colleagues who have done their utmost, utilising considerable financial investment in the organisation and preparation of a major congress. Unfortunately, however, the pandemic has thwarted these noble efforts.
We wish to confirm that the EAHM will continue to adapt to the circumstances in which we find ouselves due to this pandemic as we have done over the past two years and will continue its thematic online conferences, to which we invite and welcome all interested parties. We will keep you informed about the dates and technical content of the online conferences.
Finally, we would also like to thank the invited speakers who have persevered for three years, under very difficult circumstances, to ensure that the participants receive a high quality conference programme. We look forward to bringing a significant number of these presentations to the EAHM online events in the coming months.
